Here's hopefully a nice little thread for gerbil talk ... it's mainly aimed
toward breeders, but ...
What is your favorite age range in gerbils, particularly when breeding, and
why?
My favorite age range is from around 10 days old to around 21 days old. When
they around 10 days old, they have a nice coat of fur on them and I can start
really holding them. They often will fall asleep in my hand during this age
range when stroking them. In the latter part of this period they open their
ears fully (can fully hear), start thumping their feet, start running around,
start tasting things, open their eyes, and in general this latter period is
really enjoyable and quite funny at times, too.
