Ahh...yet another problem.
Ok, I just noticed two of the mothers eating a baby gerbil.
I'm pretty sure it might have been dead before they decided to eat it
cause they started in the same spot the baby had been for a couple
hours, it just never dawned on me that it might have been dead. After I
removed it and disposed of the body (no head with it) I put some fresh
food in there to get their mind off of meat (if that's what they had on
their mind in the first place. Well, now 10 minutes later they don't
seem to be eating any of the other 12+ babies in the tank..so can I
safely assume that the baby was dead and they were doing the natural
thing? And if they do happen to feel the need to start eating more
babies...what do I do with the babies?

There's like 3 seperate litters in there, ranging in ages from 3 weeks
to 1 week. I have one mother that just gave birth to 4 in another
tank. And another mother that gave birth to 4 about 3 weeks ago...so if
they go canabilstic, where should I place the babies?

Thanks...
CeeKay

Hopefully they won't go canabilistic, that would truly suck..
