Together at last.

Hi, I am a new member, but have been in contact with several of the members through e-mail.  Living in Northern Main we have found it very hard to find any gerbils.  Our first gerbil was a three month old Lilac male.  A week later we found a ten week old Argente Golden.  After three days in a divided cage we have put them together.  They have now been together for fifteen hours with no major problems.  They  curled up and slept together last night.  And are now taking a nap together.  I am keeping a close eye, but feel that they have excepted each other as cage mates.  If everything goes well they will settle down and have a litter.   bye, Janet
