Hello again everyone :)
I have 2 questions...the first one being about
me buying another gerbil. Right now I have a male and a female alone in a 50
gallon aquarium tank (I guess they figure it's a castle compared to the store
cage...hehe) and I was wondering if it would be wise to add another gerbil to
the environment? If so...what gender should it be? I have been taking into
consideration the size of the aquarium tank and I am assuming that because of
how large it is, there may not be so many territorial desputes...but, I may be
wrong :)
My second questions is about the handling of
pups. How soon is it safe to pick up the gerbil pups after they are born?...and
is it true that if the scent of another person/animal (other than the parents)
is on the pups, that the gerbils will kill and/or eat the pups?
