Hi list-
I have three 15 gallon tanks side-by-side and as I've been observing
lately I've noticed how different the nesting styles of the gerbils are. I
have 2 tanks with one pair each and one tank with a single gerbil. Joan, my
single gerbil, makes the tallest nest I've ever seen. It looks like whipped
cream on top of a sundae! The first pair, Sammy and Tyson collect all the
tissues and put it in a corner and then stomp it pretty much flat and lay
on top of it. The next pair, Calantha and Blake don't make a nest, but dig
a hole deep into the shavings. Has anyone else with multiple tanks noticed
nesting differences? Do you think they learn this from their parents? I
thought it was pretty interesting.
