I think that it was just a false alarm as far as Cara birthing her pups last night. This morning there were no signs of newborns and she was just as fat as ever. Upon a closer, careful look I think it was just her own anatomy that I had seen last night. I am always so impressed when I have to mess with my gerbils or their pups and they clearly are not happy about it, but at the same time are very controlled and gentle towards me. Is this typical of the gerbil behavior/temperament? Donna A.
