Of course she get suddenly scent from the other gerbils female she was
_unused_ to and this is really stress for territorial inclined animals. For
some less, but for some, especially females, more.

Also possible she get scent from the other gerbils male and this is causing
some sort of beeing lovelorn in her.

I imagine, both together can be very stressful.
And stress may be a trigger for a lot of diseases, wheather you see them or
not.
There is no much you can do. First of all: Avoiding this stress
situation! And perhaps you can consult a vet, whether some antibiotics are
indicated in such a situation to prevent possible diseases, but as I know,
some vets think differently about prophylactic antibiotics, they may lead to
resistant strains too.
