Whenever the male gerbil in my tank sniffs and
cleans the female, she squeals a lot...she especially squeals when the male
comes back to the nest from being out and disturbing her. She doesn't squeal
when I handle her, but when the male prods at her, she squeals and runs
away.
What could this mean?
