In RL I am a professional artist; my hamster breeding became
a major hobby, and I sell my unwanted (but good and healthy
animals) production to a few local petstores. After the rescue
of the gerbils, I added them to the collection of small rodent
type creatures I keep and sell the extras I don't have room for....

Website information; can be a very touchy subject. I have been
hard at work preparing information for all to access for my site,
both for the jewelry and minerals; hamsters and now gerbils,
etc. When I put it up; I do hope that people won't plagarize it.

I have put a lot of work into the information; having others take
it and claim it as their own (no reference or link or both) without
acknowledgement, would frost me as well.

I can understand; that the person took very good information
they had found at other sources; and put it together into another
compilation, and presented it for review to the forum. However
they did not ask permission; give proper acknowledgement, or
other considerations.

It should have been dealt with personally; in private emails.

I feel it was probably oversight, unintentional and without malice;
the use of other people's 'materials' without proper acknowledgment.

Let us give them the benefit of the doubt. Let us also take it
to private mail. Let them have a chance to make the arrangements
and changes needed.

But above all, let us be kind.

Now, back to our little darlings.... <"3;_;)~~ <:3 )~~ or as others
have 'iconoized' ....

Things are quiet here this morning, all escapees are happily at
home again; and the great weekend mung-out (cage cleaning)
and building of the new rack is on the agenda. I acquired a
number of used 20 gallon tanks, and cut grating all day yesterday
to make lids for a bunch of them ('expanded metal' grate, not
hardware cloth). All the breeding pairs and trios (all of one)
and quads (all of one) are going into the 20's...the tens are
being given to some of the syrian hamsters; and the dwarf
campbells are everywhere!

I am in the middle of expansion....as more petstores want to
get their stock from me, and want more varieties of hamsters
as well as fancy gerbils.

The best of all worlds; the little ones pay for their keep, and
I get the luxury of breeding for colors and coat and all that,
with a ready way to find homes for those that I do not want
to keep or have room for.

P.S. Any store I place animals in, have to meet *my* standards
and usually have store staff 'retrained' <g> by me into better
and more knowledgable ways by then...

I have a black female with a DEW male and she looks like
she is getting pregnant fat; within her last four days or so.
I have high hopes that this litter will make it through all the
pitfalls and turn into little darlings!

Stumpy, Shorty, and Squirt are doing fine. The amputation
went fairly well, and Shorty seems the better for it. (removed
a piece of lower leg with the bone shank sticking out). I am
hoping that they will do fine in their new home later today,
one of the 20 gallon tanks being added....
