** Gerbil genetics flash cards that can be printed out
Gary's scheme for learning what genetics symbols represent.

In an effort to make Gerbil genetics more concrete, I thought of this
idea.
These flash cards would have a single pair of genes on one side and the
other side would have the explanation. For example make three cards for
eye colors:
1) PP on one side of card and Black eyed on other side.
2) Pp on one side of card and Black eyed on other side.
3) pp on one side of card and pink eyed on other side.
After all genes are written out, one can look at a gerbil and using
explanations come up with the possible genetics estimate. ( recessives
are determined by breeding)
Its a self color- so put self color card on table.
pink eyes- pink eyed card on table.
color is not diluted(removed)- not diluted card on table.
Yellow is not removed card on table.
yellow is not extended card on table(no ticking).
No spots card on table.
Then you turn the cards over and you get the gene sequence-- aa pp CC EE
GG spsp
which is a Lilac.
The opposite can also be done.
