Instead, I encourage everyone to consider the Gerbil Owners Directory at

[I had initially announced on GML it's existence in March/00]
You can be listed as "Pet Owner", "Hobby Breeder", or "Breeder" [or even as "Rescue",
"Supplier", etc].
The following are the categories of information available for each entry:
* Name or Nickname
* Preferred E-mail Address
* Web Site URL
* ICQ # or AOL IM name:
* Location [Country required; nearest large City + Province/Territory/State would be
nice]
* Number of Gerbils [plus gender breakdown]
* Breeder, Hobby Breeder or Pet Owner [or other categories]
Each person is also entitled to a pop-up Extra Information Window [linked via a blue
"i" icon at the righthand margin of a person's entry]. The additional information that
may be listed in the Extra Information Window include:
* The names of your Gerbils
* Their colours, gender, birth dates, etc
* Photos of your Gerbils
* Other web page URLs you might have
* A link to your classified Gerbil ad on an external site.
All entries are grouped by Country and all entries within a Country are sorted by the
first character of the e-mail addresses.
The Gerbil Owners Directory is intended to be available for the use of Gerbil Owners
for the purposes of information exchange, selling/purchasing/adoption of Gerbils,
vacation relief, supplies, equipment, and emergencies.
Since I do NOT operate an internet-based business, please realize that I'm providing
the Gerbil Owners Directory only for your convenience. Maintaining such a Directory
entails some work on my part but I'm more than happy to help the Gerbil community in
this manner.
BTW, the Chin Owners Directory <http://surf.to/ChinMania> and the Degu Owners
Directory <http://surf.to/DeguMania> have been great successes. Hopefully, the Gerbil
Owners Directory will be even more successful.
