Tasha, when I was a kid, my youngest sister got a gerbil.  She came home
bragging that she picked "the biggest, fattest one".... Yup, pregnant, and had
babies a few days later.   All babies were found new homes except for one, who
mated with Abby, the mother.... the one resultant offspring, Jason, had a lot
of problems..... one of which was apparent seizures, much as you describe.
He didn't live very long, I'm afraid.... things got worse, and my parents took
him to the vet to ease his passage out of this world.   (I know I was a kid at
the time, but I still see this whole episode as a shameful one in our
family.....)

The only advice I can offer from my limited experience is just to watch
him.... and make sure he's not suffering....
