Some of us (not saying all...) have a serious interest in genetics as a hobby, and
it's pretty hard to do that if all your gerbils are agouti. That doesn't mean we can't
enjoy them as pets. And as a matter of fact two of my sweetest gerbils (and all their
pups are JUST LIKE THEM, too, it's amazing) are my light colorpoint slate and light
colorpoint nutmeg. I've never met a gerbil I didn't like.
