Good point. I started out breeding with 2 goals in mind: to get Burmese
and/or Siamese, AND to get good personalities. To that end I bred a female
with the genes I wanted to a male with the personality I wanted. I knew it
would take several generations probably to really get what I wanted, but so
what? Since I had so many problems finding homes and have stopped
breeding, if I ever DO get to start again I'll probably have to start all
over. By then all my current gerbils might be too old. :) But that's ok,
colors are fun but not the main point.
