"People all the time will buy rodents through the paper for "pets" that end up as snake food, a girl that I work with does this. I told her it isn't right to this but it saves her money so she does it." Hi Doug, thanks for the warning...perhaps selling the whole setup, selling gerbils for more than feeder rats, and asking lots of questions and engaging people in lengthy discussion on care and handling might be a few ways to guard against our little sweeties coming to such a bad end (don't know if others have ideas as well). I've heard that gerbils make poor live snake food because the fight, kick, and claw so much that the animal can get injured. Is this true? Donna
