Most gerbils will only eat very small amounts of vegetables. They are
not part of their normal diet. If you give veg always wash it, only give
very small (one inch) amounts, and remove anything uneaten after an hour
or so. Veg has been implicated in E. coli and Listeria outbreaks in the
UK.
If they are active and not losing weight then they are probably eating
well.
