No, there are no such thing as homosexual gerbils, only humans. It is more likely a demonstration of dominance and establishing the new pecking order.   This behavior is often seen in social animals. Most notable in the canine family. There has been no fighting, and they are just starting to get acquainted...but I have noticed that there is one adult male trying to mate with a young male. I double checked and they are *all* males in that tank, so I dont know what's happening...unless, there is such thing as a homosexual gerbil :)   Looking forward to some responses -   Jason :)
