There is a possibility it could be ringworm, especially if it is getting
bigger. I understand that many animals can have this fungus without it
bothering them much. Long-haired cats are notorious for this. You don't
have a long-haired cat do you?
Ringworm is highly contagious both to other animals and yourself. It would
be best to have it checked out by a vet. There is a special light that they
use to check for ringworm. They can also take skin scrapings and look at
them under a microscope to be 100% certain. Ringworm is the same on any
animal so you don't need to see an exotic specialist. Any vet will have
loyts of experience of dealing with this fungus.
