Hi all,
An adult gerbil should eat 10 to 15 grams a day, right? My 2 gerbs are
six and a half monts old. In two days they eat, together, about 5 to 10
grams. In the cage there is always hay, a nibble thing, like a nut, a
cracker,.. Since about a week or two I give them always a bit, ten to
fifteen grains, of cat food, which they always eat.
I put their food in a metal bowl on a floor, so it can't get covered
with bedding. Every two days I change their food, which is never
completely eaten, and it are not only shells that are left over. When I
change it, it put the rest from the food on their bedding, cause
otherwise it's a serious waste of food, I think. When they see that they
start to eat the food that lays on their bedding! <sight>
Do I just have weird gerbs, they are not very skinny or so? Can anyone
clear this up?
