the whole thing had leaked out. Needless to say I had a lot of bedding
to change. Is there anything I can do to make it stop dripping, or do I
just have to get a new bottle? Also, is it alright for them to go
overnight without water? Should I put some veggies in with them in
 case?

Check to see if they chewed a TINY hole, just the slightest hole can make the
hole bottle leak. Also, check under the lid, you might be missing a little
round rubber thing that keeps the water in the bottle. I have been through 7
water bottles already due to my gerbils making tiny holes in the water
bottle. I have fixed that by getting chew guards though.
