I think this is the first very important reason that this should remain a
gerbil and jird only list.
The second is that, in expanding to multi-species, we would most likely
lose more of our gerbil experts who may already feel overwhelmed by the
volume of posts, and that having to wade through more posts is too much of
a problem. Which, as we've already discussed, is not something we want to
happen.
Finally, I think that there are enough mailing lists out there that there
is probably one that is a multi-species list. If that is what you want, it
doesn't hurt to subscribe to more than one list.
