repeating problem

hello , my gerbil bamba , has a repeating problem of teeth breaking .. he now has it for the .. fifth time since I got him .. and it seem like he is suffering from that . every time it happens I take him to the vet , he clips his teeth and I pay him (usually more than what the gerbil cost in the first place .. but that doesn't matter when you love  your gerbils and want them to feel good ) any way ... I was told by the vet the last time it happened that bamba's teeth will break many more times and it is a problem from birth ... and nothing can be done about it besides clipping it every time . (he also said that in nature this gerbil would not survived ) what can I do ?? can I clip his teeth alone ? isn't it dangerous ? and where do I get the right tool ? what do you gerbils expert do when this thing happens to one of your gerbils ?   any reply would be very much appreciated , thank you hila .
