I would get a cuttlebone and wire it up in the cage for him to get
supplimental calcium, that might help the brittleness.
As for clipping, I use a fingernail clipper with straight, not curved
edges. I also need an assistant, to help hold the gerbil...
Have your veternarian show you how to clip them and pay careful
attention.
what do you gerbils expert do when this thing happens to one of your
gerbils ?
