Hi Sarah -- separate all the girls from the boys. Let mom have the one litter.
Move all the boy pups in with you adult male when they are six weeks old. Leave
all the female pups in with mom, when they are about 9-10 weeks pick one to
introduce (split cage method, slowly and carefully) to your lone female. Then
leave the other female pups in with mom. I personally have not had any problem
with female clans larger then two when made up of mom and girl pups. I suppose
it depends on the nature of your gerbils -- might are very gerbil-gentle. You
also should keep the girl tanks in a seperate room from the boy tank, to remove
that reason for quarrelling.

Three tanks should be a manageable clan. Best of luck,

Donna
