First thing most every gerbil keeper learns...the pet shop is
not always accurate. Quite a few new gerbil keepers have
been gifted by what they thought were two or three boys or
girls..because the petshop said they were.

Some gerbils are slender, some are chunky. However, what
else you've said, I think you need to get a helper, catch them
one at a time and compare. At least catch both at once (this
NEEDS a helper) and compare their bottomsides. I am betting
they won't match....

Gestation is about 4 weeks... and that would make them
about the right age to produce a good sized first litter....

Just doublecheck the sexing. :) Like I said, pet stores have
been known to be wrong. Heck, even us breeders can muff it <g>
