Last night (this morning) at 2:07 am my mother agouti gerbil (Dana) had pups,
while her spotted nutmeg husband (Fox) waited in a corner. I couldn't sleep
so I read, and then I heard her kicking the male out. I only watched her
have 2, I was getting tired and I was watching her for 35 minutes wondering
around the tank! I woke up this morning and found 6 of them. They are all
black eyed. Cross your fingers please, I REALLY want a gray agouti, she has
a pretty good chance on having one too. Her last litter was of 6 too, there
was a spotted black, two plain blacks (one was PURE black, no markings
anywhere), two pied agouti, and one agouti spot. I hope to have a better
variety of colors this time :). I am glad she did have pups, I was pretty
lonely after 22 of my adult/pup gerbils died {:(. The pups names are going
to be Coffee, Cream, Mocha, Cappuccino, Expressio, and Lisa (my best friend).
Please add my sweeties to the pup count :).
