The Animal Planet show, "Emergency Vets" is filmed about an
hour from where I live. One episode that aired a year plus ago
and is being aired again tonight...they identify an albino female
dwarf campbell hamster as a 'dwarf syrian'. There is no such
thing, unless you end up with a stunted syrian hamster. And the
animal is obviously a dwarf campbell (to those of us that breed
them). Sigh. I did go online and lodge protest about the inaccuracy
they aired....
So, yes, the pros get it wrong. Whether it be gerbils or hamsters.
