Some gerbils have a tendency to have 'fits'...it's strongly suggested
that you do not use this animal for breeding, as it may be genetic
or have ties to genetics.... It's as if the animal gets overexcited or
overstimulated and in response they sort of shut down, or have
tremors, or freeze up as you've seen. It will make a fine pet, but
should not be bred at all.
