hello.
i have a couple of problems with my gerbils that maybe someone could help me
with:
firstly, i have 2 male gerbils about 1.5 years old, one white, one black.
the black one will not stop "humping" the white one. Day and night he
chases and mounts the other one and will not stop. I have tried separating
them for a few days but as soon as i put them back together it starts again.
I wouldnt worry, but the white one doesnt seem to appreciate the unwanted
attention.
secondly, my white gerbil is abnormally obese. the black one is also
slightly bigger than normal. This worries me because my 2 previous gerbils
(2 females) were both VERY obese and one actully died from being fat. when
i took my original gerbils too the vet he said it was fluid that was
building up. i am wondering if it is something i am doing to make them fat?
any help would be great.
Thanks,
Edward Fraser
