Never EVER give a small animal any sort of fiber or threads.
NO cloth, NO cotton waste, NO fiberfill, NO 'fluffy bedding' EVER.

The fibers can wrap around limbs and amputate, around necks
and strangulate...and if ingested, can cause intestinal impactions
that kill slowly and painfully over a few days!

If you have to give nest-stuff, give a few sheets of ripped up
unscented undyed toilet tissue. This has very very very finely
chopped up fibers, that 'dissolve' if they get wet. So no dangers
and no chance of an intestinal impaction.

And don't say 'well I've done so and my animals are fine' as it
is only a matter of time and something will happen. It may take
awhile, but sooner or later, and seemingly very suddenly, it
does happen, and it could have so easily been avoided!

I was not the one that posted for the advice. The one that did
post, I had advised that they use a light to add heat to a corner
of the tank...(I usually use aquarium tanks, and have some stick
on the outside reptile heaters...I stick one on the outside on a
side at a corner, then the animals inside can choose where to
nest and be..and can get away from the heatsource. I have
also used lightbulbs (swing arm lights) positioned at the side
of the aquarium a few inches away from the glass, again at
a corner.)
