Hi all,

I am sure this is genetically possible, since it happened (I have not
done it on the gene calculator) but I have a red fox female (on the
dark side) (Hermione) and a black male (Dumbledore) who has a small
white spot on his head. (My six year old has renamed most of them
since he has read the book, so now I basically have a Harry Potter
Clan... oh well :( )
They gave birth to 6 pups, one that died at about a day and one that
died at about 3 weeks. The remaining 4 are light dove pied with
perfect little arrows on their head. Their tank looks really funny
with the combination of 4 little dove 5 week old pups running around
with an orange and a black adult. They are next to a tank with an
agouti female (Prof McGonagall) and a DEH male (Hagrid) with 5
perfect little agouti pups the same age. (About 5 weeks) They were
born a day apart. So there is one tank with lots of variation next to
a tank with little variation. They are all part of my son's science
project of "Do gerbil babies grow at the same rate?" (obviously not,
but I thought it would be a good Kindergarten project) Anyway, I am
sure you were all interested in my observations, so thought I would
share them..

.BTW, since my son has renamed most of them, and my really mean
vicious white female who hates everybody and everything except whole
toilet paper rolls really has not had a name, I am thiniking of namng
her Voldemort! Is that mean? (thanks for whoever gave the TP
suggestion...she now chews up toilet paper rolls all day instead of
jumping up and banging her head on the top of the cage - probably
much better for her already not so there brain)

Have a great day !
Cindy
