I picked him up, I noticed it was his fur, not fat. If it is a cold, are
there other symptoms or could this just be something he does. If he is
actually cold would he do this? We keep our house on the warm side.
If he does have a cold, is tetracycline the answer and can I get it at a
petshop? Are the dosages/proportions given on the bottle?
thanks so much.
Get ornacycline, they use it for birds, and follow the dosing
as for a canary...but cover the waterbottle because light
causes it to break down...and you will have to mix fresh
solution every day. Give them ten days treatment.
'puffing up' usually is a sign of other distress....if you listen
closely, they may be breathing with a 'click' as well...later
symptoms are eyes glued shut (sticky eye) and rapid
decline.
Luck.
