I was visiting a pet store around here and while I was browsing the rodent
section I noticed a sign for a Raffin. I had an employee take it out and
show it to me (since it was hiding). He told me it was a genetically
enhanced rat with no tail. They're supposed to have better personalities
than regular rats as well. Anyone ever heard of such a creature? It does
have a nubby tail like a hamster. I know there are tailless rats, but I
wasn't sure if they had a stump or no tail at all. This rat also had dumbo
ears. All the Raffins had dumbo ears because my friend bought a few and they
had dumbo ears as well. The employee I spoke with said they all looked the
same except for color. Any information would be helpful. (So Sorry this
Isn't a gerbil question, but I've heard of people chopping off gerbil tails
to promote selling and I'm hoping that's not what this is a case of)
