I was visiting a pet store around here and while I was browsing the rodent
section I noticed a sign for a Raffin.  I had an employee take it out and
show it to me (since it was hiding).  He told me it was a genetically
enhanced rat with no tail.  They're supposed to have better personalities
than regular rats as well.  Anyone ever heard of such a creature?  It does
have a nubby tail like a hamster.  I know there are tailless rats, but I
wasn't sure if they had a stump or no tail at all.  This rat also had dumbo
ears.  All the Raffins had dumbo ears because my friend bought a few and they
had dumbo ears as well.  The employee I spoke with said they all looked the
same except for color.  Any information would be helpful.  (So Sorry this
Isn't a gerbil question, but I've heard of people chopping off gerbil tails
to promote selling and I'm hoping that's not what this is a case of)
