An introduction doesn't have to take a lot of your time. The easiest
way is to divide a ten gallon aquarium diagonally with hardware
cloth . Put each gerbil on its side and then in the morning before
leaving for work/school switch them. When you return, switch them,
then before going to bed switch them again. Do this everyday for a
week, then remove the divider on a day you are watching a long movie
with the tank in view. If they don't get along try for another week.
