Sadly, my DEH pup died. I don't know why he wouldn't nurse, eat, or take KMR. I think it was starvation, rather than just the respiratory infection alone. The other 5 pups (still nursing at almost 5 weeks!) have no sign of any respiratory problems. I am thinking of putting my mothers on medicated water when the pups are about 3 weeks before any problems would show up. Good idea? PS -- as the mom, Peaches, is a small gerbil it is very funny to see her nursing a litter of five giant pups.
