I've introduced young (between 6-9 week old) pups to
one adult male and a young male 2-3 months to a pair
of young males 3 months.

But I would think that introductions to an established
pair that is older (a year) could be risky. I would
recommend you set up these two in a 10 gallon and clan
4-5 young male pups in the bigger tank. Good luck to
you.
