nutmeg coloring

Hi all,   I have a nutmeg male, Cosmo who was born Nov. 7, 2000, making him almost 5 months old. I noticed him begin to molt at about 8 weeks or so. How long before they get a permant color? He's just beyond the peachy creamy color. But I've seen some nutmeg pups that are way darker as a nutmeg at an earlier age.   Any ideas? Or pictures of nutmegs?
