Hi Sarah, I've had several nutmegs. Usually a
dramatic molt from solid gold to gold-black brindle
starts at about 7 weeks and is all done with at about
10 weeks. They continue to molt in slight variation
for months after. However, there is a big variation
in when they start and end.
Right now I have a girl that molted very dark black
and kept an bright orange triangle on the top of her
head. It would be so cool if that never changed (shes
over 3 months now), but I am expecting she'll molt out
of that.
