Hi Sara !
When our Maggie had her fist litter she spent most of her time digging in
the corner (away from pups) - she spent so little time with pups that we
were really worried but all 4 survived (and are still alive & happy) !
On the other hand our Laureen wouldn't leave her babies alone for more than
just a few minutes (especially for he first week) ...
.. As long as you see her at least twice a day "feeding" (& heating) pups it
would be o.k. (important thing is that room (where they are) is not too
cold) !
