My gerbils Pepper Anne and Puck are just about 11-12 weeks old by now, and
are starting to feel those urges awakening. However, Puck doesn't seem to
exactly know what to do. She stopped and presented her rear end to him,
but
kept leapfrogging over her. All they need is a late-model Buick and a
starlight view from a cliff and they're on their way to a "coming of age"
film :)

Give them time! Just like us humans, female gerbils mature faster. She
might be ready for a bot of "how's your father", but he has not yet got the
urge. he soon will.
