Need help!

Hi!  I'm new to the list.  Need help.  My situation is much like Sharon's.
I bought a little gerbil yesterday and I can't catch him to play with him.
I got on this list last night and I read Sharon's predicament.  I went out
and bought his brother today.

How much do they eat?  They haven't seemed to touch their food today nor
drink.

How can I tame them?  I can't even catch them!
