This will answer most questions.
As for the gerbils, let them calm down for a few days before you try and
handle them. Also, when you pick gerbils up, do not chase them around.
That will only frighten them. Once they are used to where they are
living. You should be able to easily get your hands underneath them.
Never grasp at a gerbil from above.
