I'm happy to say that our little pup, Chuckie, is no
longer having any problems. Her posture is back to
normal. There's no more hunching of her back or
walking around with her four legs close together. Her
fur has smoothed out, too, now that her back isn't
arched. The DriTail also appears to have worked very
well. She eats quite a bit and runs around as much --
or more -- than her two little friends. In fact, she's
become the most social of the three (which is saying a
lot!) and loves to hop right out of the cage and into
our hands.

My boys have built the little ones an enclosed
playground and they love running around and
investigating everything. The boys *and* the gerbils,
that is! ;-)

I wish I knew exactly what Chuckie's problem had been.
Stress? Allergy? Combination of the two? Whatever it
was, it came and went very quickly. Thank goodness!
The new Carefresh bedding that we put in has also
become a great source of entertainment for her and her
friends. They've created a 'basement' in the cage by
tunnelling through the bedding. The tunnels go from
one side of the cage nearly to the opposite side. They
go down on one end and pop-up on the other! Too funny.
