I have.  One of our gerbil mother incorporated a strand of my hair into
her nst, which wrapped around and nearly killed one of her infants.  He
had nearly severed one of his legs, and it was cut into his right side
deeply.  We found him and removed it.  But he had permanent muscle damage
in that leg and side.  We kept him and named him Spiral.
