It's nice that she rescued the rat and all, but it's still no excuse in my
opinion. When you take in any animal you must be prepared, willing and able
to deal with any issues that arise including pregnancy, medical problems,
behavior problems. If you are not financially or "space-wise" able to deal
with all these things that can and very often do come up, then you
shouldn't take the animal.
Yes she saved the rat from being snake food, but she just stated that she
was willing to turn the babies over to a pet store as potential snake food-
she saved 1 life and now all the babies she's not prepared to care for
could lose their lives in the same way.
I'd hardly call that a good deed.
