Behavior notes, can anyone elaborate as to
why?
1.) Besides rolling onto their backs and doing
their usual chinchilla dust
rolley-polley follies, my Polar Foxes will
sometimes jump and flinch around
on their hind legs
as if they are experiencing some kind of
chinchilla
dust fetish
ecstasy?
2.) They nuzzle the chinchilla dust with their
mouths and paws and as
usual chew the sand. You can hear the loud
scratching sound in their
mouths. My best guess is that this is
another natural way for them to
grind their teeth down.
3.) When mate arrives, things get really 'frisky'
between the two. They
wrestle with each other in the sand like a cat
fight ending with them
licking-and-sniffing each other. lol
