I am very saddend by this. I thought it odd, that I
felt pups in her last night, as she has (2) 4 week old pups. I've never had her
have a litter within one another.
So as I did an afternoon run I notice that she
doesn't look fat any more. (I could very clearly see a pup last
night) I checked in the nest, and felt nothing. Upon grabbing her, I could
tell she had given birth.
So I grab the flashlight to look. There are 2 dead
pups, and 1 very pink, alive little one.
The current litters I have right now to foster to,
would be a mother to 7, first time litter who are 8 days old. Or I have 3 week
old pups.
I assume neither, would be a good case.
So I've thought the alternative, as I read here,
the pinkie mice. I'd be more than willing to give this a try, as I hate to see
deaths, and to lose these little guys, despite that he/she is just a few hours
old.
Also, her 2 pups. Best to leave them where they
are, or put them with my 7 5 week old pups?
Any advice?
