As others have said, it could just be chance. It could also be that the
you have a new spotting mutation, although the chances of that are far
smaller.

Have you had any eye or ear problems resulting from this breeding for
spots? In the UK people who have repeated bred for increased spotting
have often found circling behaviour, a sign of deformed inner ears, or
malformed eyes.
