My thanks to all who expressed sympathy for my loss of Cici ... After hearing me complain yet again that the past year of occasional deaths and no births to balance it out, emotionally speaking, has been like one long funeral, my husband finally threw up his hands and told me to go ahead & start breeding again! I really think, being in the Phoenix area, I won't have the problems finding homes that I had in southwest Oklahoma. So now I have my Sheridan (REW, son of Tristan & Amelia) in a split tank with Trixie, a spotted agouti I got from a pet store about a year ago. I have no idea what kind of recessives she may or may not be carrying, it'll be fun to find out! I am getting rather excited. :) I know I may wind up with nothing but agouti & spotted agouti, but that's ok. At least some of them would be carrying some recessives from Sheridan. It was quite funny when I put them together, Sheridan was obviously intrigued but Trixie kept trying to bite his nose through the wire! (Of course she couldn't.) A few hours later though, she was pressing the side of her face against the wire & Sheridan was trying to groom her from the other side ... very cute. :) -- Tana and The Little Rascals http://members.home.net/tlr-gerbilry
