My boys did this as well. In fact, Sam put his chin
down on the dish and acted like a vacuum cleaner. 8-)
The cornmeal was very slippery and they kept sliding
around until they managed to get their bottoms up
against each other. Then they were braced and they
just sat there eating. It was hilarious.
